Raj Kumar Agrawal is an ex banker , independent consultant and social worker. He has more than two decades of banking experience in the premier bank of India, State Bank of India (SBI). He worked in India, Bahrain and London in different capacities which has given him experience in various facets of banking and insight of different businesses, work cultures, and market segments.
As a project management, business development, and financial consultant he has been providing consultancy to various organizations in India and abroad.
Pursuing his diverse interests , he has assisted the Mayor of the Hon’ble Indian Prime Ministers constituency ,the City of Varanasi, as his Advisor in the formulation of strategies, action plans and delivery mechanisms pertaining to the different initiatives for the development of the city through various Government Schemes and CSR support.
Was the City Coordinator, Varanasi for HRIDAY and Lead, City Support Unit for Swachh Bharat Mission ,flagship schemes of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India .Was Sr Consultant with NJS Engineers Pvt Ltd, a unit of NJS Consultants Co Ltd, Japan for JICA funded activities.
He has been working since long with the Indian Diaspora in many countries to strengthen their relationship with India and amongst themselves. He was actively associated with the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in Varanasi in Jan 2019.
He hails from a family of acclaimed mining engineers and has been exposed to the different facets of mining since his childhood.
A honours graduate in Geology, he completed his MBA from BHU and was the topper and gold medallist of his batch. He is also a certified associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
